Edgar F. Shaffer

Edgar F. Shaffer, 76, formerly of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Pottstown, PA on August 28, 2020. Edgar was born on August 27, 1944 in Stewartsville, NJ to the late Benjamin and Maud Shaffer. He served proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Edgar was employed as a Machinist for Bergen Machine and Tool Co. in Hackettstown, NJ for more than 31 years until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, going to the casino and he was an avid NY Yankees fan. Edgar is survived by a son, Christopher Michael Shaffer and his wife Barbara; a daughter, Trisha Zerr and her husband Charles; grandchildren, Jacob Strojan and Amanda Strojan. His loving wife Carol preceded him in death. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday September 1, 2020 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W.
