Donald S Jayne Jr.

Donald S. Jayne, Jr., 85, of Washington, New Jersey, and formerly of Great Meadows, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford, New Jersey.

Donald was born on January 13, 1940, in Dover, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Donald S. Jayne, Sr. and Elizabeth Jayne (née Riker). He was a graduate of Roxbury High School and worked for many years as a cab driver with Knight Riders in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Donald enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and feeding the deer. A skilled and proud craftsman, he built a cabin by hand in Canada and took great pride in the Florida room and patio he constructed at the family home. He also took pleasure in admiring his Koi pond with waterfalls that he constructed by hand.

Donald was devoted to his family and was married to his beloved wife, Patricia, for 61 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert and Alyssa; and his siblings, Shirley, Terry, and Dale. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.
