Donald Browne

Donald E. Browne 80, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on January 24, 2015 at St. Luke's Bethlehem Hospital with his family by his side. Donald was born in Newark, NJ on May 25, 1934 to the late George and Helen Browne. He resided in Warren, NJ for many years and later lived in Cincinnati, OH and Philadelphia, PA before moving to Washington, NJ in 1999. Donald proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He then worked as a banker for First Fidelity and Provident Bank until his retirement in 1994. Donald had many interests, including dancing and crossword puzzles. He enjoyed going to the beach and sailboating. His true passion was garage sales and auctions as he always was in search of finding his latest treasure. Above all, his favorite past time was spending time with his wife and family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Donald is survived by his devoted wife Joan and loving children, sons, Michael Browne and his wife Cindy, Donald R. Browne and his wife Sarah, daughters, Diane Browne and Mary Beth Browne and her companion, Jeff Clements, a step-son Bill O'Neill, a sister Claudia Miles and his cherished grandchildren, Donnie, Cody, Stephanie & Shannon. In abiding by Donald's wishes, services will be private.
