Diana J. Pell, 69, of Washington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Born on July 14, 1956, in Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. Willhite and Jean L. Willhite (née Anderson). She is a graduate of Marion High School in Marion, Indiana and Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Diana worked throughout her career as a groundbreaking chemist for Nabisco Co. and later as an innovative software developer, fields that reflected her intelligence and curiosity. A lifelong learner, she was a proud member of Mensa International, where she met her beloved husband, Edward.

She had a deep love for animals and shared a special bond with her faithful dog, Rosie.

Diana is survived by her brother, James R. Willhite and his wife Cynthia K. Willhite; her nieces, Elizabeth A. Willhite (Andrew Alinovich) and Rachael Viehman (John Alexander Viehman); two grandnieces (Gabriella Viehman and Aubrey Alinovich); two grandnephews (Andrew JW Alinovich and Robert Viehman); and her cherished dog Rosie.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward, who passed away in 2017, and her sister, Jeanette Fortney.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ, 07882. Cremation will be held privately, and burial of both Diana’s and Edward’s cremains will be held at Montana Mountain Cemetery at a later date.
