Charles Riddle

Charles Riddle, 85, of Washington , NJ , passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2009 . Born: On February 19, 19 24 , in Asbury , NJ , he was a son of the late James and Marion Riddle. Personal: He was a life long resident of Washington . He graduated from Washington High School , class of 1941. He owned and operated Riddle Wall & Floor Covering in Washington for over 50 years. Charles was a master craftsman of fine furniture. He also enjoyed model airplanes. Charles served proudly as a Navy Corsair pilot during World War II. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors: In addition to Virginia , his loving wife of 65 years; a daughter Carolyn Manfra and her husband Rodney of Washington; a sister-in-law Eleanor Riddle of Easton ; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Theodore, passed away in 1997. Services: Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 , at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor Tim Hoff officiating at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery , Hampton , NJ .
