Charl D Brake

Charl D. Brake, 89, of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family while under hospice care. Formerly of Oxford, Flemington and Washington, NJ.


Charl was born on December 17, 1932 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Charles and Ellen "Scheid" Dollinger. Charl grew up and graduated from Saint Mary's High School. Charl and her husband Ronald were married in 1954 and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2004. Sadly Ronald passed away shortly after in 2005. She was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling with family. She also liked to read, cook and go shopping with her daughters and was a diehard NY Yankee fan. Charl cherished her family and time spent with them, especially her grandchildren.

Charl is survived by her 3 daughters, Susan Bulmer, Nancy Lynn and her husband Leo and Patricia Nagle and her husband Jeff; her son, Michael Brake and his wife Shirley; a sister, Carol Ryor and her husband John; 8 grandchildren Rebecca, Luke, Robin, Maureen, Matthew, Andrew, Tyler and Olivia; and 12 great grandchildren Rachel, Erica, Tristan, Makayla, Arianna, Jackson, Madeline, Oliver, Elana, Alexander, Felix, and Isaac.


In addition to her parents and her husband Ronald, Charl was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Brake and a son-in-law Kenneth Bulmer.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday May 21, 2022 from 11 AM – 12 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:00 PM at the funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Washington, NJ
