Blanche Kries

Blanche Kries, 98, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2009 , at Brakley Park Care Center , Lopatcong Township . Born: August 4, 19 11 , in Harmony, NJ, she was a daughter of the late James and Nettie Cruts. Personal: She was a lifelong resident of Washington . Blanche worked for many years for American National Can in Washington , earlier in her life she also worked for tung-Sol in Washington , retiring in 1976. Blanche enjoyed bus trips with seniors and church activities. Memberships: She was a lifelong member of Washington United Methodist Church in Washington . Survivors: son, Melville and his wife Barbara of Washington; grandchildren, Chip Kries and his wife Jody of Washington Township, Randy Kries and his wife Kellye of Washington Township, Melanie Deemer and her husband Pete of Washington Boro; seven great-grandchildren, Jason Kries and his wife Kristen, Derek Kries and his wife Joan, Kyle Kries, Nicole Sypniewski and her husband Tom, Kayla Deemer, Colby Deemer and Shane Deemer; four great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Blake Kries, Lilly and Gracie Sypniewski; and a new great-great-grandchild arriving in January 2010. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Howard "Levi" in passed away in 1981. Services: Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2009 , 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave. , Washington , NJ 07882 . Funeral services will be Friday October 2, 2009 , at 11 a.m. at the Washington United Methodist Church, 116 E. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882, with Rev. William Noll & Darleen Schott officiating. Burial will be at the Montana Mountain Cemetery , Harmony, NJ.
