Betty Brown

Betty Lou Brown, 79, of Washington Township passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2019 surrounded by her family. Betty was born on February 11, 1940 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Frederick and Dorothy Schaaf. Betty was previously from Scotch Plains and Elizabeth before moving to Washington in 2004. She graduated from Edison High School in Elizabeth, NJ class of 1958. She married her loving husband Lawrence in 1961. Betty was employed as a beautician for many years. Betty was also a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. In addition to her husband Lawrence, Betty is survived by a daughter, Linda Thompson and her husband John; a son, Robert Brown and his wife Noreen. 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Megan, Kelly, Christy and Sean. Betty was preceded in death by a brother Frederick Schaaf. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday January 3, 2020 from 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 4, 2020 at 11:00 Am at St. Rose of Lima Church. 85 Academy St. Oxford, NJ 07863. Interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery in Washington, NJ.
