Bernice Frankenfield

Bernice Ruth Frankenfield, born on November 29,1932 to Carl and Ruth Meichsner (Howell) in Washington, NJ died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on March 12, 2020. She was 87 years old. Bernice graduated from Washington High School class of 1950 where she then went to work for Vikon tile from 1950-1957, she later worked for M&M Mars only to find her home with the Brass Castle and Port Colden school systems where she was the school secretary until she retired in 1995. Bernice spent most of her life living in Washington, NJ. She moved to Loganville, Georgia in 2007, and moved back to NJ in 2016. Bernice was an avid traveler with her husband Truman, but always found her way back to Hawaii. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and solitaire and most days you could find her enjoying her Soaps and Hallmark movies. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Truman Frankenfield whom she was married to since 1953, her daughter Carla Grace Fisher (1993) and her son Carl John Frankenfield (2016). She is survived by her three grandchildren; Courtney and husband Sean, Curt and his wife Kayla and Jarrett and his significant other Annmarie. In addition she had the pleasure of watching and making memories with her six great- grandchildren; James, Owen, Katelyn, Nathan, Jace and Rylee. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday March 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services celebrating Bernice's life be start at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Durham Cemetery.
