Barbara Ann Taborelli

Barbara Ann Taborelli, 90, of Asbury, NJ, passed away on September 10, 2025, at Newton Medical Center.

She was born on September 9, 1935, in Phillipsburg, NJ, to the late Joseph D. Baylor and Viola Baylor (née Cook). Barbara was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1953.

She worked as a rural mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Asbury, NJ, until her retirement in 1998. Before her 30 years at the Post Office, she served her community as a bus driver for Warren County Vo-Tech. Barbara was also a devoted Methodist Sunday School teacher.

In her free time, she found joy in tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, lovingly nurturing her flowers, and expressing her creativity through crafts, knitting, and stamp collecting. Throughout her life, she rescued many animals, always welcoming their companionship with warmth and compassion.

Barbara is survived by her children: Toni Allen and her husband, Thomas; Sherry L. Satmary; Joseph R. Taborelli and his wife, Pam Reed; Frank Taborelli; and Valarie Deemer. She also leaves behind her siblings, Michael Baylor and his wife, Bonnie Baylor, and Sandy Pappalardo; nine grandchildren – Michael, Justin, and Kyle Allen; Nicole Satmary-Smedley; Joseph and Alyssa Taborelli; Kelsey, Corey, and Cameron Deemer; and ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Joseph Taborelli, who passed away in 1996.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s name to Common Sense for Animals.
