Barbara M Slocum

Barbara M. Slocum, 77, of Blairstown, NJ passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on March 14, 1947 in Newark, NJ to the late Francis and Mary "Baranowski" Connery.

Barbara grew up in Madison, NJ before moving to Washington, NJ. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1965. Her family owned and operated Hill Top Farm and Barbara also operated her dog grooming business "Snip & Clip" form the farm for many years until her retirement in 1975. She married her soulmate Ray Slocum in 1975. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She also volunteered at Sts. Phillip & James School in Phillipsburg. Barbara enjoyed making Christmas crafts knitting and embroidery.

In addition to her loving husband of 48 years Ray Slocum, Barbara is survived her son, Greg Slocum (Linda); her siblings, Frank E. Connery Jr., Donna Keller (Pete) and Janet Conklin (Howard); Granddaughters, Amber and Heather Slocum and a great granddaughter Scarlett. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a brother Paul Connery.
