Barbara Jean Sigler

Barbara Jean Sigler, 89, of Franklin Township, NJ passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital.

Barbara was born on April 12, 1935 in Morristown, NJ to the late Walter E. and Ester Mae "Bixby" Roy. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1954. After graduation Barbara married her soulmate Carl W. Sigler. They moved to Broadway to raise their children on the family farm. She was a longtime member of the Broadway United Methodist Church where she volunteered much of her time and was a past president of the Women's Club. She was also a member of the Warren Grange and volunteered her time at the Warren County Farmers Fair where she also entered and won numerous baking contests. Barbara was a member of the Oxford Young at Hearts Club and a board member on the Montana Mountain Cemetery Association. Her other enjoyments were reading, walking, swimming in her pool and spending Saturday afternoons with her childhood friend Fran. She adored her family and cherished time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. Her loving husband Carl passed away in 2018 after 63 years of marriage.

Barbara is survived by her children- Colleen Hissim (Edward), Jill Whitehead (Matt), Janet Chembars, Ellen Rogers (Scott) and Paul Sigler; 9 grandchildren- Jami Arbizu, Kyle Hissim, Amanda Gavin, Travis Whitehead, Cody, Jesse and Zachary Chembars, Bryan and Jared Rogers; 20 great grandchildren- Reece and Talon Arbizu, Morgan and Macy Hissim, Layla, Allie, James and Sophie Gavin, Wyatt, Easton and Hailey Whitehead, Grace, Reagan, Oliver, Joseph, Shepherd, Peyton and Bennett Chembars, John and Chase Rogers.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday April 21, 2024 from 2-4 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating Barbara's life will be held on Monday April 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Broadway United Methodist Church. 2233 State Route 57 West. Broadway, NJ 08808. Interment will follow at the Montana Mountain Cemetery in Harmony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to the Broadway United Methodist Church.
