Austin Conover

Austin M. Conover Jr., 80, of Oxford, NJ passed away peacefully on April 24, 2017 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital with his family by his side. Austin was born in Morristown, NJ on January 8, 1937 to the late Austin and Anna Conover. Austin attended Bernardsville High School class of 1955 where he played football. He was employed as a Supervisor and Boiler Operator at the Palnut Division of TRW in Mountainside, NJ. Prior to his retirement in 2003. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Austin enjoyed fishing and watching the news on television. CNN News was his favorite channel. He was a sports fan and avidly routed for the NY Mets and NY Giants. He loved his dog Angel. Austin is survived by his loving children, a son, David Conover Sr. and his wife Patti, 2 daughters, Barbara Conover and Pat Sypniewski and her husband Joe. 2 caring sisters, Judy Olsen and Susie Gianetti. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren whom he treasured. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Conover. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. And again on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 10-11 AM. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation on Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
