Ann Shostak

Ann Shostak, 79, of Washington Township, NJ, passed away suddenly on January 8, 2026, at her home.

Born on August 29, 1946, in New York, NY, Ann was the daughter of the late Stephen Shostak & Lillian “Semko” Husar. She grew up in Astoria, Queens, and graduated from Leonia High School, Class of 1963. Ann went on to earn her degree in Education from C.W. Post college.

Ann dedicated many years of her life to teaching in St. Thomas, where she worked as an educator. And managed real estate until her retirement. During her career, she also taught gifted students as well as children with learning disabilities, making a lasting impact on the lives of those she taught.

In addition to her passion for education, Ann was a gemologist who greatly enjoyed studying gems and jewelry. She found joy in tending to her flower garden and loved shopping.

Ann is survived by her beloved siblings, Steven Shostak and Diane Husar.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating Ann’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery.
