Ana Tirado

Ana Luisa Lopez Nieves Tirado, 83 formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away peacefully on April 28, 2017 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Ana was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico on October 27, 1933 to the late Julio Lopez Diaz and Francisca Nieves. Ana graduated from the University of Puerto Rico. She worked as a social worker for New York Hospital in Brooklyn, NY until her retirement in 1994. During her retirement, Ana enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was a wonderful cook who took great pride in teaching her son and then grand-daughter Puerto Rican cuisine. She loved dancing, music and tending to her flowers in her garden. She is survived by her loving son Anthony Tirado, his wife Jennifer and 2 beloved granddaughters Eva and Athena Tirado. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 9-10 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated immediately following at 10:00AM on Wednesday at the funeral home with Fr. Guy Selvester officiating. Burial will be at Montana Mountain Cemetery in Harmony, NJ.
