Obituary of Dorothy I Peck

Dorothy I. Peck, 92 of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on November 23, 2015 at Warren Haven nursing home. Born on August 6, 1923 in Queens, NY to the late John and Jennie Hessler. Dorothy lived in Queens, NY and Virginia before moving to Belvidere, NJ 12 years ago. She graduated from Our Lady of Victory high school in 1941. Dorothy and her husband Thomas Peck Sr. were married for 62 years before his passing in 2004. Dorothy was a homemaker but she also worked as a riveter for Grumman aircraft during the war. She was a parishioner at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Belvidere. Dorothy enjoyed Golf, bowling, dancing, and knitting. She loved to watch baseball. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her loving children. A son Charles Nelson of Milford, NJ; Daughters Barbara Duveneck and her husband Nevitt of Belvidere, NJ and Patricia Knight and her husband Ken of Virginia. 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Thomas Dorothy was preceded in death by a son Thomas Peck Jr. in 2014. Brothers Edward, John, Vincent and Robert Hessler. A sister Katherine Young. Friends and family may pay their respect on Sunday November 29, 2015 from 1-3 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday November 30, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 327 Greenwich St. Belvidere, NJ 07823.
