Obituary of Virginia Peyrek

Virginia "Toth" Peyrek, 87 of the Chelsea at Brookfield in White Township, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2015. Born on March 6, 1928, in Stewartsville, NJ to the late George and Elsie Toth. Formally of Washington, NJ where she resided for most of her life along with her husband Theodore who passed in 2013. Virginia graduated from Montclair State College where she earned her teaching degree in Mathematics. She taught at Washington High School prior to marrying the love of her life to whom she was married to for 62 years. She was a homemaker until she decided to start teaching again where she was a substitute teacher in Washington for many years. In 1980 up until her retirement in 2000, she worked as an accountant at Tech Conveyor in Phillipsburg. Virginia was of the Presbyterian faith. She was an avid reader. A former member of the Warren County Garden Club and a talented baker. She will be fondly remembered for her lemon bars and chocolate cakes. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. Virginia is survived by her loving children, 2 sons, Ted and his wife Ginger, Tom and his wife Barbara and a daughter, Karen and her husband Peter, her 6 grandchildren and a sister, Louise. In addition to her husband Theodore, she is preceded in death by a son Thomas. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 10 – 11 AM. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Washington Cemetery. Donations may be made in Virginia's name to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 350 Sparta Ave. Building B, Suite 2, Sparta, NJ 07871.
