Ruth L. Wood, 81, of Washington Township, N.J.,
died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in Country Arch Nursing Home, Pittstown,
N.J.
Born: February 18, 1923, in Newark, N.J., a
daughter of the late Frederick Stoffers and Lillian Taetzsch.
Personal: She and her loving husband, William,
were married 60 years. She had lived in Washington Township
for the past 20 years previously living in Springfield, N.J.
Ruth was a homemaker and was of the Presbyterian faith. She
was a loving person who dedicated her whole life to caring for
her family and friends.
Memberships: She served as an Elder for the
First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, N.J., where she was
president of the woman's club and chairperson for the antique
show at the church.
Survivors: her husband; a son, Gary and his
wife, Linda, of Bethlehem Township, N.J.; and a daughter Ruth
Suzan Wood of Phoenix.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of
Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge,
N.J., with the Rev. Dr. Charles H. Bairer officiating. Call
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial
Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington. Entombment will
be in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, N.J. To view
