Elizabeth
C. Wise, 85, of New Village, died Saturday, February
26, 2005, in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg.
Born: June 17, 1919, in Stewartsville, a daughter
of the late Frank and Ruth Cline Wise.
Personal: She was employed as an accountant
for Transbridge Transportation Company in Phillipsburg for 30
years, retiring in 1980. She was a graduate of Washington High
School, class of 1936, and had attended Churchman's Business
College in Easton. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for
30 years. She enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds in her
yard.
Memberships: She was a lifelong member of Stewartsville
Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and was a member
of the women's association.
Survivors: a nephew, James G. Cline and his
wife, Irene, and their children, Kristen and Valerie of Fort
Worth, Texas. She also leaves behind all of her friends in the
Birthday Club.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church,
250 N. Main Street, Stewartsville. Call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
in Warren Hills / Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue,
Washington, and 10 a.m. to time of service Wednesday in the
church. Burial will be in Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery.
