Wopgien
"Lovey" Spengler, 90, of Ladson, S.C., formerly
of Port Murray, N.J., died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in Life Care
Center, Charleston, S.C.
Born: March 3, 1914, in Great Meadows, N.J.,
a daughter of the late Johannes and Wopgien Drenth Nuismer.
She was the youngest of 11 children.
Personal: Her husband, Charles, died in 1964.
She had lived in Ladson, S.C. for the past six years. She was
employed as a floor lady for Elko Hemming in Washington. Earlier
in life, she worked at Marlatt's Fruit Farm in Port Murray.
She retired in 1983.
Memberships: She was a member of Port Murray
United Methodist Church.
Survivors: a grandson, Brent Spangler of Fla.;
five nieces, Dorothy Shortt of S.C., Helena Wagner of N.Y.,
Murphy Walters and Dorothy Gyuriczo, both of Washington, N.J.
and Barbara Schutts of Maine.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday in the Warren Hills
/ Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington. Call
9 a.m. to time of service Friday in the funeral home. Burial
will be in Port Murray Cemetery, Port Murray, N.J. Online obituaries
