Jean L. Rymon
July 4, 1953 - November 12, 2009

Jean Rogers Rymon, of Emmaus, PA, passed peacefully at 56 years of age on November 12, 2009 in her home surrounded by friends and family.
Personal: She will be remembered for her exceptional spark for life and dedication to her family. Jean won freedom from her struggle with breast cancer after being diagnosed in 1991. During the last 10 years, though many chemo treatments, she brought her own special brand of bright optimism to all the patients and even the caregivers she came in contact with. Many times other patients would ask to be scheduled at the same time as Jean just to inspired by her joy for life.  Jean loved to drive her bright red Miata sports car with her “FYRCRKR” license plate. She belonged to the Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club. With her help the club created a breast cancer research fundraising event called “The Drive to Survive”. “The Drive to Survive” and its generous supporters have raised over $50,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrfcure.org).  Jean was a fierce supporter of her children, husband, family, and friends. In this support there was no gray area. There was never any doubt as to where you stood with Jean or what she was thinking. We all loved her for that and will miss her candor so very much.
Survivors: Jean is survived by her husband, Brent; her boys, Adam and Aaron; her father James Rogers; her brothers and sisters, Becky Perkowsky, Mary Nagle, John Rogers, and Allen Rogers; and her loving nieces and nephews.
Services: Family and friends may call Monday November 16, 2009 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation will be private.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; 60 East 56th Street, 8th floor; New York, NY 10022. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
