Janet K. Lilli, 90, of Mansfield Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully at Warren Haven Nursing Home on November 19, 2011.
She was born to the late William and Mary Johnstone, on March 20, 1921, in Auchanlac, Scotland. Janet was married to George J. Lilli until his death in 1965. Janet was a member of the 1939 Ridgefield Park High School graduating class.  She went on pursue her dream of nursing and attended the Hackensack Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her degree and became a Registered Nurse.  Janet proudly served her country as a nurse in the United States Army during World War II in Loncon, England. When she returned from the war, Janet worked at Englewood Hospital in Florida.
Janet is of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Eastern Star. 
Janet is survived by her beloved daughter, Wendy Waterman of Oxford, NJ. A grand-daughter Jamie Cals and her husband Danny of Oxford, NJ. and two great-grandchildren, Hailey & Chelsea. Janet was predeceased by a son, George Lilli and a daughter Janet Hamilton.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, 116 East Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882 on November 22, 2011 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Darlene Schott officiating.
