Shirley
B. Leinbach, 76, of Washington, died Thursday, May
13, 2004, in Easton Manorcare.
Born: March 16, 1928, in Plymouth, Pa., a daughter
of the late David Boyce and Sarah Clarke.
Personal: Her husband, Barry E., died in 1997.
She had lived in Washington for the past 30 years, coming from
North Plainfield, N.J. Shirley was a secretary for the Department
of the Navy in Reading, Pa. She graduated from Plymouth High
School in 1946 and from the State Teachers College in Bloomsburg,
Pa., in 1949. She enjoyed playing pinochle, gardening and in
her youth, she enjoyed horseback riding.
Survivors: a son, Curtis Leinbach of Edwardsville,
Pa.; three daughters, Lisa Cartal of Wind Gap and Debbie Leinbach
and Maureen Garrecht, both of Washington; 11 grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.
Services: 1 p.m. Sunday in the Warren Hills
/ Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, with
the Rev. James Scovell officiating. Call 11 a.m. to time of
service Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Montana
