Alice
Kries, 83, of Washington, NJ, died on Tuesday, April
5, 2005 in the House of Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ.
Born: On March 2, 1922 in Asbury, NJ, she was
a daughter of the late Franklin and Edna Rush Bodine.
Personal: Her husband of 60 years, Russell,
died in 2001. She was a lifelong resident of the Washington
area.
Alice was a homemaker. Earlier in her life, she worked at the
Pohatcong Hosiery Mill in Washington, NJ.
She graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1941.Alice
was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Memberships: She was a member of the United
Methodist Church in Washington, NJ. She was also an assistant
den mother for the Cub Scouts Troop #156.
Survivors: She is survived by a daughter, Linda
Hendershot and her companion, Tom Miller of Belvidere, NJ; a
son, Kenneth and his wife, Heather of Washington, NJ; five grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.
Four sisters, Margaret Bodine, Elizabeth Hoppock, Jane Hoppock,
Ruth Rounsaville, and four brothers, Fletcher, Robert, Joseph,
and Franklin, all died earlier.
Services: There will be no calling hours. Services
will be private and held at the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home,
234 West Washington Ave., Washington. Burial will be in Montana
