Stephen
J. Dvorsky, 83, of Glen Gardner, NJ, died on Friday,
March 25, 2005 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
Born: On August 14, 1921 in Wyano, Pa, he was
a son of the late Blaise and Mary Pusta Dvorsky.
Personal: He and his loving wife, the former
Sophia Valanoski, were married for 57 years. He was a laborer
employed by Linden-Roselle Sewer Department for 10 years, retiring
in 1986. He previously was a resident of Linden, NJ before moving
to Glen Gardner nine years ago. Stephen served in the Army during
World War II. He received three Battle Stars for his actions
in North Africa, Normandy, and the Battle of the Bulge. He was
an avid fisherman, and loved walking outdoors.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Ann's Roman
Catholic Church, Hampton, NJ. He was also a member of the VFW
Post #5119, Glen Gardner and the Knights of Columbus. He was
also a member of the Linden Retired Men's Club.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Sophia,
he is survived by two sons, Gregory of Stillwater, Barth of
Washington; a daughter, Patricia Adams of Washington; a brother,
John of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 9,
2005 at 11 a.m. in the church, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ
with Father Michael C. Saharic officiating. Visitation will
be private at the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 West
