Erik
B. Domaas, 74, of White, N.J., died Wednesday, February
16, 2005, in Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township.
Born: November 18, 1930, in Staten Island,
N.Y., a son of the late Arne and Signe Damhaug Domaas.
Personal: He and his wife, the former Kerstin
Johansson, were married 45 years. He had previously lived in
Washington and Branchburg, N.J. He graduated from the University
of Connecticut with an MBA and from City College in N.Y. with
a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed as a plant
manager for Pitney Bowes in South Plainfield, N.J. He also owned
and operated Star D.F.S. where he worked as a financial planner.
He retired in 1983. Erik enjoyed beekeeping. He had his private
pilot's license and loved to fly. He will be forever loved and
sadly missed. Memberships: He was a member of Phillipsburg Alliance
Church, Phillipsburg. He served on the board of Middlesex County
Chamber of Commerce, served on the board for the United Way,
and was a member of Christian's Businessmen's Committee, Northeast
Chapter.
Survivors: his loving wife; a son, Erik A. of Md.; two daughters,
Ingrid Dow of White Township and Signe Staub of Mass.; a brother,
Finn Domaas of Mass.; and nine grandchildren.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held 11
a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, in the church, 255 Lincoln
Avenue, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Randal Nelson officiating.
There will be no calling hours. The Warren Hills / Ford Memorial
Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, is in charge of
