Condolence: Dear Nancy and family, I read of Mrs. Christine's passing this morning online. Later, I looked at the pictures on this website. There were many familiar faces, starting with our Johnston Street neighbors! I will be eternally grateful to Mrs. Christine for helping me to get to Europe on the Student Council trip in 1968. And Nancy, I think of how long we've known each other--from playing together when you came to your grandparents to the fun we had cheering together. Such wonderful memories! But is was seeing the pictures of Mary Lou with her grandchildren that was the most rewarding. How happy and proud she looks! I hope your family is doing well, and please know that you are all in my heart. May God Bless You!
With love, Billie Mae

Condolence: I was so sorry to read about the passing of your Wife and Mother. I met your family many years ago as a child visiting with my family. My Mother was Clara Voorhees whose mother was Anna Bierman Wiebe. Mom and Mary Louise were cousins and I remember her talking about her quite often. I lost my Mom in October 2005 so I understand what you are all going through. We know that she is in a better place with God and many loved ones. At times like these it is our family and their love that gets us through. God Bless.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your lovely wife, mother and grandmother. I knew Mary Lou for many years through Washington Area Meals on Wheels. She was an extremely dedicated volunteer and the recipients in our area were indeed fortunate to have this wonderful, caring woman as a community volunteer. My thoughts are with you as you cherish her very full and dedicated life.

Condolence: When I attended Mary Lou's funeral on Tuesday, I was sad thinking about how much she helped me when I became the Coordinator of the Meals at Home Program but happy to have been even a small part of such a wonderful person's life. I never knew if she was happy with the way I ran the program after she did it so well for all those years, however, when she did my audit for the Division of Senior Services, she was gracious enough to tell everyone what a wonderful job I was doing that meant a lot coming from her. It was a privilege to learn from the best and she will always be special to me.
