Mary
F. Aquino, 92, of Washington, N.J., died on Sunday,
November 13, 2005, in her home.
Born: On May 12, 1913, in New York City, she
was a daughter of the late Frank and Angelina Buttacavoli.
Personal: Her beloved husband of 35 years,
Anthony, died in 1970. Mary lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. for over
50 years before moving to Washington, where she lived for four
years. She was a customer service agent. She worked for Abraham
& Strauss Department Store in Brooklyn for 25 years. She
retired in 1978. She graduated from Drakes Business School.
Mary enjoyed crocheting. She was famous for her chicken soup
and pudding.
Memberships: She was a member of St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Washington, N.J. Survivors: She is survived
by a son Richard, and his wife, Barbara, of Washington; a daughter-in-law,
Elaine, of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert, died in 2004.
Services: Funeral arrangements are entrusted
to the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue,
Washington, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
10 a.m. on Wednesday in the church, 200 W. Carlton Avenue, Washington.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday, and 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will
be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to the American Heart Association, 2250 Rt. 1, North
Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
