Victor J. Ambrosino

Victor J. Ambrosino, 79, of Oxford, died Wednesday,
May 5, 2004, in Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Born: April 25, 1925, in Gloversville, N.Y.,
a son of the late John Ambrosino and Anita Papa.
Personal: He and his wife, Louise, were married
52 years.
Victor served in the Navy during World War II and flew Military
Air Transport Service during the Korean War.
He had lived in Oxford for five years, coming from Livingston,
N.J. He was a senior executive at Macy's in Paramus, N.J. for
45 years, retiring in 1991. He graduated Ryder University in
1950 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Victor
will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Joseph
Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was a member
of the Oxford Planning Board, the AARP in Livingston, Aircraft
Owners and Pilot Association, Lincoln Park Pilots Association,
NJ Power Squadron and he was a fraternity member of Delta Sigma
Phi.
Survivors: his loving wife; a son, Victor of
Conn.; three daughters, Laura Curcione of Vernon, N.J., Giselda
Mintz of Byram, N.J. and LuAnn Maute of Conn.; a sister, Giselda
Ambrosino of N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandcild.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m.
Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church concelebrant with Monsignor
John Boland and Rev. Robert Ascolese. The family will receive
friends and visitors 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday in their home, 27
Robeson Ridge, Oxford. Services under the direction of Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, Washington and
cremation services are under the direction of H.G. Smith Crematory.
