Brian P. Dooney, 49, of Glen Gardner, NJ, died on Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Morristown, NJ.
Born: On January 24, 1959 in Staten Island, NY, he was a son of Cecelia and Donald "Murph" Rae of Washington, NJ.
Personal: He was the husband of Alice Spilotras-Oakes. He was employed by Tekton Development, New Brunswick, NJ, as an excavator for four years. He attended Forestry School after high School. Brian enjoyed motorcycles, his cabin in the mountains, hiking, and the outdoors. He especially loved the trees.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Washington, NJ.
Survivors: In addition to his loving and devoted wife, Alice, he is survived by three sisters, Susan Peterson and her husband, Robert of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Robin Supplee and her husband, Bill of Hampton, NJ, and Karen Vogel and her husband, Steve of Hamilton, NJ; a brother, Kevin Dooney and his wife, Karen of Tinton Falls, NJ; a step-daughter, Natalie Spilotras of Phillipsburg, NJ; a step-son, Jason Spilotras of Phillipsburg, NJ; two grandchildren, Kayla Spilotras and Sabrina Cumer, and many nieces and nephews. His biological father, Fred V. Dooney, died earlier. Services:
Visitation will be held on Tuesday (today) from 2 to 4 p.m., and again from 7 to 9 p.m. at the warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church, 200 Carlton Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation will be private.
